“Subsequently, more batches of port mobile robots will continue to undergo installation and debugging before being dispatched overseas.”
Recently, at the world’s largest transshipment hub port, over 50 port mobile robots from SIASUN, arranged like steel giants, were officially delivered in bulk to a world-renowned port management group. This marks the first time that China’s port mobile robots have achieved such a large-scale overseas delivery. ‘Made by SIASUN’ once again represents China’s intelligence going global, becoming a dazzling business card for global smart port construction!
In recent years, with the emergence of ultra-large container ships, port loading efficiency has become a bottleneck, acting as a clot in the main artery of goods logistics. Challenges such as difficulty in recruiting labor, continuous rise in labor costs, low manual efficiency, and restricted operating hours have plagued major sea, land, and air transportation hubs worldwide. SIASUN, addressing industry pain points, embarked on technological breakthroughs. As early as 2017, the company collaborated with globally renowned port management groups, completing the research and development of port mobile robots in a very short time. After rigorous performance testing and reviews by industry-leading clients, SIASUN emerged as the sole Chinese company among the three winning bidders in the project bidding phase, propelling China’s outdoor heavy-duty mobile robots to officially reach international advanced levels.
The products in this bulk delivery are SIASUN’s new generation port mobile robots, with a rated load of up to 65 tons, positioning accuracy of ±5cm, maximum operating speed of 7m/s, braking distance of <13m, achieving a dual-grasp of high load capacity and high precision. Simultaneously, SIASUN’s port mobile robots support various cargo types, including single loads of 2×20-foot containers, 2×20-foot tank containers, 40-foot containers, and 45-foot containers, fully meeting diverse customer requirements. These ‘smart giants’ will make port cargo handling more intelligent and efficient!
At the same time, the research and development of the new generation port mobile robots focus on product standardization, modularization, cost-effectiveness, maintainability, and system integrity. Optimization and upgrades were performed in product design, vehicle weight, and functional unit layout. To facilitate mass production, the R&D team conducted analyses of the overall vehicle structure and assembly processes, ensuring a more rational layout, enhanced vehicle stability, and a shortened production cycle.
It is reported that SIASUN is the first domestic supplier of port mobile robots to receive large-scale overseas orders. The delivered batch represents the initial products, and subsequent batches of port mobile robots will continue to undergo installation and debugging before being shipped overseas. In addition, SIASUN’s independently developed world’s first intelligent container stacking machine has also completed assembly and debugging and is about to be put into operation.
