Zhende Medical is a leading enterprise in the medical supplies industry, integrating research and development, production, and sales. With the rapid expansion of the market scale, traditional manual sorting and transportation are no longer sufficient to meet the developmental needs of the enterprise. Therefore, intelligent transformation and upgrading have become an inevitable choice.
Solutions
NTI responded to Zhende Medical’s customized demand by leveraging its strong integration capabilities in smart logistics information systems to introduce a comprehensive smart logistics solution, with AGV as the core equipment. Building upon the information-logistics integration system, the supply chain, production process, and warehouse logistics were intelligently interconnected through the industrial internet. This allowed for the utilization of advanced management capabilities within the overall logistics information system to fully exploit AGV’s flexible transportation advantages and achieve automation and informatization.
The project has deployed a total of 52 AGVs manufactured by NTI, consisting of 31 laser guided AGVs and 21 QR code guided latent lifting AGVs. Each AGV is equipped with an advanced intelligent operating system and laser detection system, enabling autonomous operation in complex workshop and warehouse environments based on route planning. The AGVs are capable of precise transportation, accurate identification of racks, pallets, and goods information, as well as automatic loading/unloading, flexible movement, autonomous obstacle avoidance, charging capabilities, seamless integration from raw material to production lines and finished goods warehouses. They also perform automatic loading/unloading on high-level racks in addition to transporting goods within flat warehouses and delivering semi-finished products to production workshops. An advanced AGV management system allows for real-time monitoring of operational status and online scheduling while addressing various challenges related to diverse product transportation and complex routes through the production management system’s task assignments. Furthermore, it facilitates fleet scheduling for AGVs along with multi-AGV cooperative operations while implementing unified management across different vehicle types – showcasing seamless integration alongside high levels of intelligence and flexibility that truly liberate labor forces while achieving “dark factory” standards in intelligent logistics.
Value enhancement
After the implementation of the AGV intelligent logistics system, 49 manual forklifts were eliminated, along with a reduction of 79 manual forklift drivers. Additionally, there was a daily decrease of 40 truck rentals. The project is expected to achieve a static investment return period of approximately two years.
NTI intelligent logistics solution has significantly enhanced the operational efficiency of Zhende Medical, contributing to their efforts in combating the epidemic and reinforcing their prominent position within the medical supplies industry.
In future, NTI anticipates collaborating with more industry peers in order to enhance the intelligence of medical logistics and drive advancements within medical enterprises.
